Features
- Bowkaddy is a bow rack unlike any other. Created by a bowhunter for bowhunters, the patented design offers a host of features highlited by versatility, practicality and security. It has four main components: an octangular base, a main support arm, and two swing arms. Each part is injection-molded using high-strength plastic, combining the assets of durability, strength and lightness. Bowkaddy comes complete with all the necessary fasteners for assembly and mounting.
- The base plate has four holes by which Bowkaddy is mounted to a variety of surfaces. The simplicity of the base makes it adaptable to a wide array of mounting situations - wood, metal, plastic, fibreglass, etc. Typical applications are pickup boxes and cabs, quads, Argos, shop benches and display walls, to name a few.
- The main support arm is fastened to the base and provides the structural frame of Bowkaddy. It has three lockable angular positions relative to the base, also adding to the mounting versatility.
- The left and right swing arms each fasten to the main support arm by means of a carriage bolt and wing nut. The swing arms are designed to provide maximum clearance of the bow riser so as not to contact sights, rests and other attachments. At the end of each swing arm is a fixed clamp which accepts the limbs of the bow during insertion. The rubber lining in the clamps provide the friction necessary to hold the bow securely in place.
- Versatile. In fact, the most versatile bow rack on the market today. Fits all makes and models of bows - basic compound, recurve, traditional long AND parallel limb bows. The patented swing arms translate and rotate to match the limb geometry of your bow. The steel pins lock into the main support arm to ensure stability at the most common angular settings. When the wing nuts are tightened, two rubber washers are compressed between the arms, adding frictional resistance.
- Bowkaddy's true versatility comes from its numerous mounting applications. It is readily mounted to pickups, quads, display walls and workbenches...practically anywhere you desire. The 5" x 5" base allows for simple yet stable mounting to a wide variety of flat surfaces. As well, the main arm pivots in the base between three secure positions, offering the freedom to mount Bowkaddy in a vertical or horizontal orientation.
- Practical. Works great for those quick trips to the stand or the shooting range. No need to carry your bow loose inside the cab or laying in the bed of your pickup. No need to put it in a case. Now you can have the best of both worlds - protection AND accessibility! Recent tests done by the PCBA have shown that Bowkaddy can even be readily mounted on outdoor wheelchairs, providing a practical bow-handling solution to the user.
- During the off-season, Bowkaddy can be removed from your vehicle and fastened to your workbench to assist in any inter-seasonal "tweaking" of your archery equipment.
- Secure. You can trust Bowkaddy to deliver your bow with safety and security. The rubber grips squeeze against the limbs to ensure your bow will not bounce out, even over rough terrain. And when you need your bow, removal is quick and easy.
- For added peace of mind, each limb clamp is molded with a hole through the end, allowing for the addition of a padlock to provide some visual deterrence against the theft of your precious archery equipment. NOTE - there is no need to use the holes for pins to keep the limbs from "popping out". The only exception to this is when Bowkaddy is mounted upside down (ie. cab mount). When the bow limbs are properly inserted, the friction between the rubber inserts and the limbs themselves will keep your bow secure until you WANT your bow to come out.
- Compact. At full extension, Bowkaddy measures 35 3/4". When not in use, the swing arms can be folded in for a collapsed length of 20". As well, the swing arms and/or the main support arm can be readily detached when desired (ie. during the off season).
